Leon Gallery Arts and Antiques will be holding its last auction for the year offering exquisite pieces from the collection of some of the country’s prominent families. It's called, "Kingly Treasures" which will happen on December 5, 2015 at 2 PM.
There will be a preview starting November 28 to December 4, 2015. Leon Gallery will include pieces from J. Antonio Araneta Collection which includes works of the early 20th Century masters Fabian de la Rosa, Vicente Rivera y Mir, Dominador Castañeda, and Fernando Amorsolo.

Also part of the Auction are:
1. The "Blue Harbor" of Jose Joya . A little background which brought to us during period most desired by critics because of its heavy impastos that have come to define his most important output; major works by 2. 2. Major workds of Anita Magsaysay-Ho from 1964
3. Vicente Manansala’s Mother and Child from 1971
4. An extremely rare HR Ocampo from 1956
5. Early works of Bencab from his Mabini days.
Leon Gallery is also honored to offer furniture pieces formerly in the esteemed collection of Bebé Virata - a rare Balayong altar table and a miniature Sheraton chest of drawers, as well as a kamagong cabinet from Candon, which is undoubtedly the Rolls Royce of all Philippine furniture.

Another highlight of the auction is Ronald Ventura’s “In Memorial”, an important if not the most important work of the artist from his early period. It is Ventura’s take on Leonardo da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man” and is the ultimate canon of proportions where Ventura’s prowess in anatomy is fully revealed.

The auction will also include works by Geraldine Javier, plus a plethora of masterworks from the Dimasalang and Salingpusa schools. Indeed, there will be something for every discerning taste.
